For more than six decades, the Democratic and Republican candidates for Governor have made their first joint appearance after the June primary election at NJBIA’s Employer Legislative Committee (ELC) Reception. The ELCs are independent local business organizations representing all 21 counties. Nearly all governors and legislators have addressed their county ELCs, and many legislators participate regularly each year. During the reception, each candidate will discuss their legislative priorities, as well as policies impacting New Jersey’s business community. In the past, the ELC dinner has brought out hundreds of business people, legislators, cabinet officials, and NJBIA members, making it a great networking opportunity.
