Somerset, NJ — The Somerset County Business Partnership (SCBP) will host its 2025 Annual Awards Meeting on Monday, December 8, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, bringing together business leaders, community members, and local officials to celebrate outstanding achievements in Somerset County’s business and community landscape.
This year’s presenting sponsors are currently: Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, Ferrero, Somerset Regal Bank, Unity Bank and PNC Private Bank.
“The SCBP Annual Meeting is the largest and most important annual gathering of the business community. As we bring the year to a close, we gather together the leaders from the public, private, and non-profit sectors to network and honor the year’s most significant contributors to the economy of our region. Congratulations to our announced award winners and I look forward to unveiling our 40 under 40 at the event,” said SCBP CEO/President, Chris Edwards.
This year’s Business of the Year award will be presented to Unity Bank and SSP Architects, recognizing their exceptional contributions to the local economy, innovation, and community development.
“We are truly honored to be named the Somerset County Business Partnership’s Business of the Year,” said James A. Hughes, Unity Bank President & CEO. “This recognition is really about our incredible team, our loyal customers, and the communities that have supported us for so many years. At Unity Bank, we believe in the power of relationships—helping local businesses grow, supporting our neighbors, and working together to build a stronger future. This award is a wonderful reminder of why we do what we do every day. Unity Bank’s impact reaches far beyond banking services. From championing local entrepreneurs to supporting charitable causes, our mission has always been about people first. This award is a testament to the partnerships we’ve built and the positive difference we strive to make every day.”
“Being named Business of the Year is an incredible honor that recognizes the collective efforts of our entire SSP Architects team,” said Marcus Rosenau, Principal at SSP Architects. “This award reflects not just our firm’s work, but the trust our community has placed in us to help shape the spaces where people learn, work, and play.”
The Small Business of the Year award will be presented to A Place At Home in Somerville, honoring its compassionate approach to senior care and its dedication to serving families throughout the county.
“We are truly honored to be recognized as Small Business of the Year by the SCBP,” said Jessica Dale, Owner of A Place At Home. “This award reflects the dedication of our entire team and the trust placed in us by the families we serve. When I started A Place At Home, I wanted to create something meaningful—not just a business, but a trusted source of care and support. Receiving this award is deeply humbling and motivates us to continue that mission with even greater purpose. As a small business, our mission is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and their families. Being recognized in this way affirms that we’re creating real impact here in Somerset County. This award inspires us to keep growing, innovating, and finding new ways to support the families and communities we are privileged to serve.”
During the event, the SCBP will also announce its 40 Under 40 award winners, recognizing young professionals demonstrating exceptional leadership, innovation, and community involvement. This class represents the next generation of Somerset County leaders shaping the future of businesses in the region.
In addition, the Partnership will highlight plans to promote Somerset County Tourism and marketing initiatives for the 250th anniversary of America in 2026, as well as leverage the excitement of the 2026 FIFA World Cup to attract visitors and boost the local economy. These efforts will showcase Somerset County as a destination for business, culture, and recreation, while supporting local businesses and community organizations.
The 2025 Annual Awards Meeting is the LARGEST business event of its kind in the county, and its purpose serves to recognize leaders in business, innovation, sustainability, and community service, reflecting SCBP’s ongoing commitment to fostering collaboration and prosperity across the county.
